Auto, Home, Renters, and Business Claims

When something happens, contact your carrier directly to start the claim — they're equipped to dispatch adjusters, authorize repairs, and process payments faster than any middle step would allow. Once you've reported it, let us know. As your agent, we'll track the claim, advocate for you with the carrier when something stalls, and make sure you understand what's happening at each stage.

Outside regular business hours? Leave a detailed message and we'll return your call as soon as we're back in.

What to have ready when you call your carrier:

  • Your policy number and the name on the policy

  • Date, time, and location of the incident

  • A description of what happened and what was damaged

  • For vehicle accidents — driver and owner information, vehicle year/make/model, license plate, and current location of the vehicle

  • Any authorities involved — police, fire, ambulance — and the report or case number if available

  • Photos of the damage, the scene, and anything else relevant

  • Anything else that matters — injuries, witnesses, weather conditions, third parties involved

Life Policies

The days after losing someone are difficult enough without an insurance company adding to them. We'll help you navigate the process — but in most cases, life insurance benefits can be paid quickly once a claim is filed, often within days of the carrier receiving what they need.

How to start a life insurance claim:

  • Contact the carrier directly. The carrier's name and phone number are on the policy itself. If you can't locate the policy, call us and we'll help you find it.

  • Gather what the carrier will ask for — the insured's full name, date of birth, date of death, and the policy number.

  • Request a certified copy of the death certificate. The carrier will require this, and most funeral homes can order additional copies on your behalf.

  • The beneficiary will need to complete a claim form, which the carrier will provide once you've notified them.

If you'd rather not handle this alone, call our office. We can help you locate the policy, contact the carrier, and walk you through what to expect.
